The K-Tek KSQD1—or the Squid, as it’s more commonly known—is a convenient, stretchy solution for mounting a transmitter, mobile device, remote, and more to a tripod, handgrip, and yes, even a boompole. The Squid is made of silicone, quite elastic and strong, and stretches to provide a solid grip over the device. The silicone doubles as a barrier to shield the equipment, behaving in some ways as a shock absorber. As the Squid is translucent, you can see your controls and status indications quite easily.

question
Does this securely hold a Sony UWP Transmitter? Is there any chance of it getting knocked off the transmitter when we're running around filming?
I have used the squid with a bulky Rodelink Wireless Transmitter on a carbon fiber boom and connected to a Rode NTG2 shotgun mic. The fit of the squid on the transmitter was tight and firm. I would say it is okay for fast walking and movement in scenes and it has been secure. As an added grip, I applied a thin velcro strip to the transmitter and the boom and it feels very secure.
