The compact S1 Professional VR Camera from Z CAM employs four Sony CMOS image sensors to capture high-quality spherical VR video at 6K30 or 4K60 fps. Use the included Z CAM's WonderLive and WonderStitch software downloads for live streaming and offline stitching of 4K60 fps equirectangular images with your Windows 10-based PC.

Each of its four fisheye lenses is constructed with 10-layer, professional-grade optics, minimizing distortion and flare. Unlike rig-based VR systems, the S1's four integrated sensors provide coordinated auto-exposure and white balance functions. The built-in Z CAM Sync Hardware ensures synchronized recording, and Z-Log gamma enables image fine-tuning and color grading.

The S1's compact, cylindrical body measures just over 9.5" high when used with its detachable battery unit. When powered via the included AC adapter, the S1 is under 6" high. With a slim, under 4" diameter form, the camera can be placed 2.6' or closer to subjects. SanDisk Extreme Pro cards are recommended for recording to the S1's four SD card slots.

Note:
Stitching and live streaming requires a Windows 10 PC with two Ethernet cards; Mac compatibility to be available via a future update.
Four required 18650 lithium-ion batteries and a charger are not included with the camera.

Z CAM S1 Reviews

Disaster

A disaster. They don't have Mac software options. To broadcast live you need to invest in a very expensive dedicated video card. To use mac software you also have to invest separately. A disaster that a product of that cost does not bring things resolved. And that to use the features it offers in advertising it is necessary to invest much more separately. I would not buy this camera. Unfortunately I already bought it

Great camera. Terrible software

Im really disappointed with the software that comes with this product. Dont bother purchasing if you want any instructions... it doesnt come with any. If you use a Mac to edit... the program doesnt seem to work. You can buy some other software for $800. If I could do it all over again, I would not have bought this product.

Having used the S1 for a few short productions I can confirm the image quality is superb and stitching software (with performative pc) works wonders. If you are looking for a professional feel on a tight bundled budget this is what you're looking for. Used both in studio and exteriors, and direct to HMD, this is a top entry level pro camera. Plus I've had constant support from the Z CAM team to all my questions and concerns!
