Compact yet fast, the Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 Lens from Voigtlander is a standard wide-angle prime designed for full-frame Sony E mirrorless cameras. Its classic wide focal length pairs with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture to deliver notable control over depth of field for producing shallow depth of field imagery, and also benefits working in low-light conditions. Helping to achieve the lens's namesake Classic look, a symmetrical optical design is used, along with high refractive index glass, to produce sharp, clear imagery but with some intentional aberrations left to realize a smooth and vintage-esque character. The lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 11.8" away and the mount incorporates electronic contacts to relay Exif data and to make use of in-camera shooting and focus aids.

Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 Nokton Classic Reviews
Compact Manual excellence
Pair this lens with a Sony a7R IV if you’re chasing that compact 60MP manual experience. It delivers beautiful results with the freedom of full manual control and the satisfaction that every great image comes straight from the photographer’s instincts.
I love what it is!
It's everything that I read it to be - NOT perfect. It's great for traveling—wherever. It has all the imperfections in a quality built product. This lens is for slowing down and really thinking about what you're going to capture. I really like how it has the Distance Scale and Depth of Field Scale on the barrel of the lens so you can dial in your settings and wait for your moments to capture when using it for street photography. It's manual focus and I think it's been really fun to use on my a7R V. I'm meow more prone to taking my camera with me more because of how compact this lens is.
