Why are they not standard is the question, and when will they release an updated larger size? Does it really need to be flush if your holding a camera 8sinn? Or is this a proprietary part?
Unfortunately, manufactures choose whether they would like to go with an arri rosette that has a M6 or 1/4"-20.
Manufacture updates on the product has not been provided.
The part should fit flush when connecting to the cage for a solid hold.

Yes, this is designed to connect to the side of select 8Sinn cages which do have 1/4"-20 threads on the side.

Will this work with the standard 31.8mm Arri ...
Will this work with the standard 31.8mm Arri rosette? It’s listed as 28mm and although it says Arri in the description I wasn’t sure given the different size.
The standard ARRI rosette is exactly 60 Tooth Rosette with M6 internal thread. Outer Diameter: 31.8mm... The outer diameter on this is 28mm, but the M6 internal thread should allow it to line up perfectly and interlock.
