    DJI Osmo Mobile 2 reviews

Osmo Mobile 2 Smartphone Gimbal is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Osmo 2 The hardest part of working with this gimbal is getting the proper software and then getting the software to work. Once set up properly, the gimbal is easy to use. It provides good but not exceptional results. The panning motor moves too quickly for me, but the video is nicely stabilized. I had hoped to use my Galaxy Note 6 with a case. The gimbal cannot balance it with the case. The only other problem was the three and a half month backorder with B&H. They did keep me informed about the status, but it took a long time to get my hands on this item. For its price, I would recommend it. I cannot compare it to any other phone gimbal since it is the first I have owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny Having had it for little over a month now , I can definitely say I do love this little gem. It handles heavier phone very well (Iphone X with slim case on) and produces very pleasing results with little practice. Very convenient to have controls of stop/record/zoom/functions at your fingertips without using the other hand to tap on the screen (the only downside you have to use DJI Go app to have access to these features). Good battery life. Can charge tap to charge the phone from the handle. Comes with fairly decent pre-molded foam case, which is plus. I've tried Feiyu G4 pro and couple other ones within similar price range and they just don't stand a chance. For $129, I would definitely recommend this one hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets the expectations. I've used my gimbal for just two weeks now and so far I am very pleased with my purchase. This product works as advertised for the most part. It does however require some getting used to. My videos are very smooth, which was the main reason for the purchase. There is still some "bobbing" effect when moving rapidly, but that's expected. Most of my displikes are about the DJI companion app. Plenty of fun features which work for the most part, but a warning here, the app is buggy. Hopefully the follow up updates will address the issues. Great price, excellent shipping process from BnH!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk The app is garbage, requires you to constantly touch the screen to adjust settings which defeats the purpose of the gimble. The motor gets very hot and is not stable on larger phones. No trigger for shooting!? Why?? Why? The buttons should be programmable so that you can assign diff features to diff taps or gestures but this is not the case. Oh and it constantly loses connection with phone which causes it to flop limp and ruin your content. Pretty much flawed on every single function, i gave 2 stars b/c it is cool when it works but its almost entirely unreliable.. oh ya and the app causes your phone to run burning hot and depletes your iPhone battery at an alarming rate.. yikes! do not buy this

Rated 3 out of 5 by from buy it, but look forward to the next iteration Filmic Pro works with this gimbal so this is the gimbal I bought and recommend. That said, you cannot fit a phone in a case properly in here. If you want to protect your phone or use Moment lenses this means your phone is held only with friction. iPhone pluses with cases are a touch too large to allow you to hold your gimbal in flashlight mode and pan because there isn't room. Finally, there isn't an option to allow you to save footage to the camera roll and therefore getting footage into your Mac is an unnecessary multi-step process. I'm glad I bought it, the features are incredible, but I look forward to the next version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Little Device I have wiring for this device to become available since it was announced. Well worth the wait it irks as well as I hoped. Easy to balance. Once you get software loaded the rig will keep cell phone balanced while filming and a joy stick button allows controlling camera orientation while moving, including pan and tilt. Electronic zoom is also a feature and with a single push of a button, the camera can b returned to the starting orienatation. Definitely pleased with this device!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from trustworthy! everything is good for me! i think the plastic material is a good choice, because that made OM2 much lighter than others, i could hold for long time~~ also the shooting is so stability for my IPX, diepel my doubts. Do not appear the confilct between OM2 and OIS in my phone after i upgrade the fireware . any way, OM2 is really helpful for me .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for iPhone after version 6 I will not be using this gimbal with my iPhone 8 plus or iPhone X. Apple's floating lens (for image stabilization) causes micro-jitters in footage. iPhone 6 does not have a floating lens, making the footage with Osmo Mobile 2 look (comparatively) great. Footage with later versions of iPhone are pretty bad because of the jitters. Turning off the iPhone's stabilization does not solve the problem. I'm convinced Apple engineers are not using an iPhone 7/8/X on a gimbal like this. If they did, they would see how poorly the footage is rendered and implement a solution. This is a fix that has to come from Apple.
