I bought this to my friend in Virginia and had her bring it along when she returned to Ghana from the US. She carried the bulb in her hand luggage and it wasn't taken out of the box, and handled as a delicate item. However the bulb didn't work when I tested it, and it was a cumbersome process for me to send it back to B&H since I live in Ghana, Africa. I took it as a loss and till now, I've not been able to buy a replacement due to the cost involved.

Can the bulb be replaced with bare hands or is it affected by oils?
This flashtube has a protective dome which would not be affected by the natural oils on our skin, but it's always good practice to handle any flashtubes or modeling lamps with a gloved hand.
