I purchased this lens primarily for night sky shoots, but I also use it in certain landscape shoots as well. Sometimes rather than stitching several photos together for a wide panorama shot, this lens captures the same shot or better in one. It's a solid lens to have in your kit at a very reasonable price and quick shipment from B&H.

Great medium-priced lens. It has a solid, well-built feel, weather protecting features, a slightly larger FOV than other 14mm lenses and good edge resolution compared to more expensive lenses. The corners do have a slight vignetting but still acceptable in my opinion.

So far, we have not heard any negative feedback on the AF performance of this lens on the EOS R when shooting video.

how do you set this lens to infinity focus?
To manually focus the Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Canon EF to infinity you turn the focus ring to the right. You have to find infinity. The lens has a focus-by-wire design and there is no feedback, beep, or change in resistance as you turn the focus ring past the infinity limi. The ring will keep turning but at some point the lens stops changing focus.
