Opteka 50mm f/2 Lens for Sony E
Key Features
  • Sony E-Mount Lens/APS-C Format
  • 75mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • Aperture Range: f/2 to f/22
  • One Super-Low Dispersion Element
A flexible prime, the Sony E-mount 50mm f/2 Lens from Opteka is a 75mm equivalent lens characterized by its bright f/2 maximum aperture to suit working with selective focus techniques as well as in difficult lighting conditions. One super-low dispersion element is featured in the optical design, and helps to minimize color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to realize high clarity and color accuracy. An HD anti-reflection coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting and a nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. Additionally, the lens sports a manual focus design and its manual aperture ring has been de-clicked for smooth, silent aperture transitions.

I am confused among opteka 50mm f2 and 7artisans 50mm f1.8, how is the image sharpness at widest aperture? I want to use it with xt100.

Our 50mm is very sharp, even at the widest aperture, however, the optimal sharpness is almost always at 2 stops down.
