The TASCAM CD-400U CD/SD/USB Player with Bluetooth and AM/FM Tuner has a built-in Bluetooth receiver, so it can only be paired with smartphones, tablets, or computers to send audio into the CD-400U via Bluetooth. However, the CD-400U does not have a built-in Bluetooth transmitter to send audio out via Bluetooth to play through Bluetooth-enabled headphones or speakers, like the JBL PartyBox series.

This looks like same cd transport and balanced outputs as their CD-500B but way lower cost. Is it same transport??
The transport section on the Tascam CD-400u doffers from the the CD-500b. The CD-400u has a jog wheel to skip through songs, where as the CD-500-b has buttons. The CD-500b also has options in the transport section not available on the CD-400u like "search", "intro check" and "play mode" just to name a few.

The TASCAM CD-400U does not support jog wheel-style scrubbing or precise forward/rewind within a single CD track like DJ CD players do.
