    LG 27UK650-W reviews

    27UK650-W 27" 16:9 4K HDR FreeSync IPS Monitor is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Monitor It's 4K IPS panel at 27" is a thing of beauty. Text is crisp, colours are vibrant and it can get very bright. Bezels are thin and the stand is very adjustable. All of that and it doesn't take up too much space on the desk. The only thing holding this monitor back is the content you view on it. HDR on PC is still a bit of mess as of this writing but if you do manage to get it working, reds are redder, blues are bluer and who knew you were missing out on so many colours. For its price I really can't imagine a better pick for an all purpose monitor. It does everything: productivity, gaming, netflix. Highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good...after a little glitch. I work from home and have a 4K laptop (HP Spectre x360) connected to two external monitors. My old monitors were 3 years old, and I've been thinking about upgrading them for awhile, now. In addition, I have an Xbox One that I keep in my office for some late-night gaming and movie-watching. After a bunch of research, I landing on these LGs. Out of the box, one of the monitors had a horizontal line that would not go away. It was visible even without my laptop connected. With the computer connected, the line would appear black when a white area was displaying and white when a black area was displaying. But there was another problem...the defective monitor just looked better than the non-defective one. I sent the bad one back for replacement and held onto the other "possibly bad" one. Side note--B&H support was excellent and the exchange was handled in record time! Thanks, guys! The replacement monitor also looked better than the other I had originally received. That's when I realized one was emulating 1920x1080 and the other was actually set to 1920x1080. My dock only has one native 4K HDMI port. So I switch ports and the views switched--the original monitor looked great and new monitor not so great. The fix? I wanted both set to 1920x1080, so I switched to another non-4K on my dock and both monitors look great. What about 4K? From a business perspective, I don't think we are fully ready for 4K, yet. In 4K mode, you generally need to scale 200% or more. I am an IT Architect, and the programs I use on a daily basis do not handle scaling very well. And it turns out, emulating 1920x1080 on a 4K monitor just does not look that great--to me. So, I prefer to stick with native 1920x1080, which my dock allows me to do, since it has two HD ports. The gaming experience is another story. I run my Xbox One in full 4K mode and it looks great! I had to do a lot of research to find the right monitor with the right settings for Xbox One...FreeSync, IPS, etc. The action and movement on the screen is very crisp, with no visible skipping. Surprisingly, my KD ratio is improving, so I'm thinking these monitors are refreshing and updating much faster than my old monitors. I have read that the HDR 10 support is not 100%, but I couldn't tell. Another plus is the fact that I can connect my primary monitor to both my dock and my Xbox One. When I switch inputs, it automatically adjusts from 1920x1080 to 4K and back. Nice. BOTTOM LINE: If you are looking for a great Xbox One gaming monitor, buy this. If you need a monitor that is great for work, buy this. The only downside is lack of speakers. But I am not willing to jump up $200 to buy the LG27UK850 for speakers and additional ports (including USB-C).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super crisp screen. Very sharp screen. A little too saturated colors but fine after calibration with Colormunki.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent display The image quality is excellent. It handles different video resolutions automatically without any noticable image degradation. It has two HDMI inputs and one DVI input. I have two DVI sources, one from desktop PC and the other from a laptop. I have to buy an adapter to convert to HDMI. That's the only annoying part for me.
