ASUS Mixed Reality Overview

Designed for Windows Mixed Reality, the ASUS Mixed Reality Headset with Two Motion Controllers was engineered to be a natural extension of your computer.

Compatible with a variety of laptops and desktop computers that meet the requirements of Windows Mixed Reality, the ASUS headset allows you to watch shows in a virtual environment, play virtual reality games, travel the world through holo-tours, watch immersive 3D, 360°, and 4K videos, browse websites, or simply get some work done in the Microsoft Office suite. With the ASUS Mixed Reality Headset, you have several different options for controlling your computer. You can use the included motion controllers for natural, fine-tuned interactions using Bluetooth Classic wireless technology.

The ASUS Mixed Reality Headset has dual 2.89" LCD displays, each with 1440 x 1440 resolution, for a total resolution of 2880 x 1440. It has a field of view of 95°. It has a built-in 13' Y-cable that has a USB 3.0 Type-A and an HDMI 2.0 plug to connect to your computer. You'll be able to move around without any additional external sensors. Please note that the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is required.

Dual 2.89" LCD Displays
Each of the dual 2.89" LCD displays has a 1440 x 1440 resolution, for a total of 2880 x 1440. The displays also have a 90 Hz refresh rate for a smooth virtual reality experience.
Inside-Out Tracking
Two built-in, front-facing tracking cameras with six degrees of freedom (6DoF) position tracking and 32 LED lights on each controller allows the ASUS mixed reality headset to map your environment and track your movements—all without the need for external sensors. The headset also contains multiple sensors, such as the gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer. Setup is also straightforward, thanks to the 13.1' cable with HDMI and USB 3.0 connectors.
Unique Futuristic Design
The ASUS mixed reality headset features a modern design, composed of hundreds of 3D polygons. The headset also has a glossy tone-on-tone effect.
Flip Visor
Switch between the virtual world and the real world with the flip visor design. Simply lift the visor for a temporary reality check, and flip it back down to jump back into the virtual world without having to take off the headset.
Lightweight
Weighing under 400 g, the balanced-crown design puts most of the weight on the forehead and the back of the skull for better support. This relieves the pressure on your nose and face for a more comfortable VR experience.
Headset Strap
The strap on the headset is made of cool-touch fabrics and quick-drying materials with antibacterial surfaces. It also features an adjustable dial so you can find a good fit easily.
