Styled in a metallic forest finish, the Ibanez AX Series AX230T is an electric guitar with a double-cutaway poplar body, a maple neck, and a vintage-style tremolo tailpiece. Atop the 24.7”-scale neck, sits a bound fingerboard fashioned out of treated New Zealand Pine. This fingerboard offers 22 medium frets with an acrylic white block inlay.
For electronics, this guitar is outfitted with three Classic Elite humbucking pickups courtesy of Ibanez. Dedicated volume and tone knobs are provided for your bridge and neck humbuckers, giving you the ability to dial in specific timbres for those pickups. You can then switch or blend between all three humbuckers with a three-position toggle switch (at center position, you get a combination of the middle and bridge pickups).
Strings are affixed to the body by means of an ART-2 Roller bridge, which then feeds a VBX60 vibrato bridge, with which you can execute rockabilly whammy moves. You’ll note the chrome hardware employed throughout.
