Styled in autumn leaf gradation, the Ibanez SR Standard Series SR870 is an electric bass guitar with a flamed maple and walnut top, as well as a mahogany body. Its 34"-scale SR4 five-piece neck couples jatoba with walnut, offering a jatoba fingerboard, 24 medium frets, and abalone inlays. Its extended neck joint allows for easier access to the upper frets.
For electronics, the instrument is outfitted with two Bartolini BH2 pickups, which offer tight lows, punchy mids, and a smooth response in all registers. Further enhancing your timbre is a three-band EQ with a 3-position switch that changes the center frequency of the midrange. An Accu-cast B500 fixed bridge affixes the strings to the body.
Bartolini BH2 Pickups
The Bartolini BH2 pickups provide a tight bottom-end, punchy midrange, and smooth response. The dual-coil style configuration maximizes articulation and a long blade pole piece widens the magnetic field, providing balanced string-to-string pickup response.
Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ
The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ offers a 3-way mid-frequency switch to give you, tonal variations that enhance simple chord work as well as complex soloing.
