FotodioX HB-XCD-PRO Overview

The Hasselblad V-Mount Pro Lens Adapter from FotodioX is an all-metal manual adapter that allows you to use your Hasselblad V lenses with any Hasselblad X-system camera. It features a chrome-plated brass mount for a precise fit, built-in aperture control, an Arca-type compatible lens foot, and is designed to allow focusing to infinity regardless of the equipment used.

This product is useful for mounting lenses that produce image circles large enough to cover medium-sized sensors, which is true of many telephoto models designed for full-frame cameras. It can also be deployed with tilt-shift lenses as an inexpensive way to use your Hasselblad for that kind of photography. Wide-angle lenses, however, will vignette. Please note that this is a manual adapter, and that any electronic communication between the equipment will be disrupted.

Works

Have one of these and although the other reviews are 1 star I have had no problem in attaching and locking both the adapter to the camera (907x) and the lens (250mm Hasselblad) to the adapter. I bought mine from B&H I believe in 2019.

Lens doesn't locked in the adaptor.

Lens doesn't locked in the adaptor. Adaptor locked well on camera body. Even though its shoot well, produce great image and Lens stay on adaptor but if you are not mindful, lens can fall off. I don't know whether I got the fautly copy or they made this as it is. Will return if fautly.

question

What's the lens crop factor ?Any lens vignette ?Is there a lens lock switch to prevent lens falling out of the adapter ?
Asked by: Hoa
I would suggest dropping crop factor. Calculating what the Angle of View is for a format you are not using does not make sense if you do it all the time. It is far better to learn what the mm lengths are for normal-wide-tele for the sensor you are using. Since the mm of a lens does not physically, change you can then tell at a glance what the perspective will be. But to answer your question, since you are going from a larger film format 63 x 63mm, to a smaller digital format, 43.8 x 32.9mm, the perspective change, or crop factor is 1.4. Lens vignetting will depend on the lens. The wider you go the greater the chance. However, we do not know offhand of any lens that would vignette with this set up. Finally, as in all lens mounts that are not screw-in, there is a catch you must release in order to dismount the lens.
