My teenage kids thought it was cool. They were excited to use it to look at microscopic details on items. The instructions stated not to look directly into it with the light on, so they did not take photos of each others' eyes, which they wanted to do.
this little microscope surprised me. it has good resolution and is easy to use and very pocket friendly. i highly recommend it. whether you're a super serious scientist or a four year old it will open new worlds for less than twenty bucks. you can't go wrong!
