Styled in a natural high-gloss finish, the AEW Series Ibanez AEWB32 is an acoustic/electric bass with a spruce top and sapele back and sides. The single-cutaway AEWC body delivers a powerful and balanced acoustic sound, well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band.
The instrument offers a set-in, three-piece mahogany/maple neck with a scale measuring 32" and a rosewood fingerboard with 21 frets. The bridge is also made of rosewood. Other features include black die-cast tuners, a walnut rosette, and a satin finish on the back of the neck for a smooth playing feel.
For electronics, the guitar is equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp, which has a 2-band EQ and an onboard tuner. The preamp gives you two different outputs. Use the 1/4" output to plug into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or send sound straight to house with the XLR output, thus obviating the need for a dedicated DI.
