Key Features
  • Monocular Viewing
  • 4x, 10x, 40x Objectives
  • 10x Widefield Eyepiece
  • 40x, 100x, 400x Magnification
Use the mirror-illuminated Barska Monocular Compound Microscope to conduct your explorations of the microworld. This cordless microscope uses a concave adjustable mirror as a bottom-transmitted illuminator and does not need any power source or batteries, which makes it easier to use in the lab or in the field. However, if you want to increase the brightness of your samples, you can use optional light sources as incidental illuminators. The 10x widefield eyepiece is vertically oriented but can be inclined to 45 degrees by adjusting the whole body of the microscope. This simple but handy device features three objectives on a rotating nosepiece (4x, 10x, and 40x) and can produce up to 400x magnification. You can secure your samples on a square (4.7 x 4.3") stage using two spring-loaded clips, adjust working distance, and use fine and coarse focusing to obtain sharp images. For controlling brightness and contrast, the stage has a rotating wheel with five fixed iris diaphragms. For precision and durability, the frame is made of aluminum and copper parts, while the base is made of iron.
