Can't say enough about the quality of the TASCAM TM-10LW recorder. The audio is crisp and clear. With constant use, you have to expect that the lavalier mic is eventually going to need to be replaced. The most vulnerable place on the cord is right at the plug so don't be surprised. What did surprise us though is how much use we got out of it before we had to replace it. Even after a year of use with people wrapping the cord around the TASCAM (even though we asked them not to) putting it in their pocket, wrapping it around their waist and threading it up through their shirt the mic still worked. But it was twisted and actually turning yellow (what is that about?) The new mic came in this week and as anticipated it worked perfect. Thanks TASCAM for a great product.

I've been using these mics for a long time and they are great. I film weddings and they are perfect for it. I highly recommend this mic!

No. It has Sennheiser wiring, which is different and will NOT work with Sony. Designed for the Tascam DR-10L Recorder Sennheiser-Style 3.5mm Locking Connector

The DJI Mic Wireless System does not connect properly to mics such as the TASCAM TM-10LB Lavalier Microphone for DR-10L Digital Recorder which have a locking connector. Unfortunately the transmitters' plastic shells extend too far to allow a firm connection with a locking connector.

How can this mic be connected to an iPhone with Lightning connector?

Since the Tascam TM-10L has a 3.5mm TRS locking connector, it will not connect securely to a non-locking 3.5mm TRS female connector on a standard Lightning adapter. As another option, you could use an XLR adapter like the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP) which has a threaded 3.5mm TRS female connector and a built-in phantom power converter. The mic and XLR adapter can be connected to a mobile interface with an XLR mic input that is capable of supplying phantom power. An interface like the IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD Audio Interface with Mic Pre (B&H # IKIRIGPREHD) or the Saramonic SmartRig Di, Single-Channel Mic and Guitar Interface with Lightning Connector for iOS Devices (B&H # SASMARTRIGDI) would do the job. It would be much easier to just use a different microphone that is designed for use with an iPhone such as the Saramonic LavMicro DI Broadcast Lavalier Microphone with Lightning Connector (B&H # SALAVMICRODI), the Saramonic LavMicro U1A Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Lightning Connector for iOS Devices - 6.5' Cable (B&H # SALAVMICRU1A), the Comica Audio SIG.LAV V05 MI Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Gain and Monitoring for iOS Devices - Lightning (B&H # COSIGLAVV05M), or the Vidpro XM-LT Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Lightning Connector (B&H # VIXMLT). These are only a few of the Lightning-equipped microphones that are available.
