Are you looking for that extra edge in your next Xbox gaming session? Well, the WRT32XB AC3200 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Xbox Gaming Router from Linksys has you covered as it comes equipped with the tools needed to help eliminate network lag and prioritize your Xbox on the network. This router features the Killer Prioritization Engine built right in which singles out gaming traffic and prioritizes it above all other network traffic. It also protects against extreme lag spikes and lowers peak ping time by up to 65%.

Most routers can be difficult to manage and updating your router can be even more of a hassle. That's not the case with the WRT32SB Xbox Gaming Router as it comes equipped with an intuitive user interface allowing you to see how your internet traffic is allocated. You can manage connected devices and network settings, as well as conduct speed tests and prioritize devices. In addition to the intuitive user interface, this router also features a custom-built firmware designed for optimized performance, and it even updates automatically so you always have the latest version.

The WRT32XB Xbox Gaming router supports the ultra-fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi network standard and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies with data transfer rates of up to 3200 Mb/s. In addition to enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity, clients can also connect Ethernet-enabled devices to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the back of the router. Alongside the Ethernet ports are a single USB 3.0 and a single USB 2.0/eSATA port to connect USB compatible peripherals to the network. The exterior of the router boasts four external, dual-band, detachable antennas for enhanced wireless connectivity while the dedicated LED indicators show the status for both wired and wireless connections.

Lower Peak Ping up to 65% on Xbox
Linksys partnered with Killer Networking, industry leaders in gaming networking, to develop a Wi-Fi router for hard-core gamers. The WRT32XB uses the Killer Prioritization Engine to identify, prioritize, and accelerate your gaming traffic above all other devices and activities on your home Wi-Fi. The WRT32XB gaming router auto-detects Xbox to prioritize Wi-Fi gaming and video streaming. Its Killer Prioritization Engine protects against extreme lag spikes, lowering peak ping by up to 65%. The result is unparalleled game-conquering response rates no matter what other devices on the network are doing.
Custom Built Firmware Boosts Performance
Enjoy exceptional online gaming performance from specially engineered software. Gaming-optimized firmware works to minimize response times, thus providing a virtually lag-free connection when you need it most: in the midst of a heated competition. You won't lose your edge even if your roommates or LAN party are streaming, gaming, or strategizing with you over voice chat about how to take down the competition.
Ultra-Fast Wi-Fi
The WRT32XB gives you enhanced Next-Gen AC Wi-Fi speeds up to 3.2 Gb/s that keep you at the top of your game. Experience exceptionally smooth, responsive gameplay. The Killer Prioritization Engine will reliably fast-track gaming traffic whether you're using a wired or Wi-Fi connection.
Powerful Interface for Ultimate Control Over Wi-Fi Traffic
The intuitive interface lets you see your home's Internet traffic. You can monitor connected devices, manage advanced networking settings, and conduct speed tests with just a few mouse clicks. With the gaming-focused UI dashboard, you can check network traffic speeds, check VPN and network storage status, see Killer device connection status, and also control port-forwarding. You'll know at a glance whether your computer or console games are performing optimally.
MU-MIMO Provides Stunning Multi-Device Performance
Thanks to MU-MIMO technology, the WRT32XB Gaming Router can handle even the most bandwidth-intensive environments. MU-MIMO builds upon longtime broadcasting cornerstones—such as spatial multiplexing, beamforming, and scheduling algorithms—to boost overall throughput and distribute bandwidth fairly between devices. Each connected client device receives its own dedicated data stream, so users won't have to compete with one another for bandwidth. Multiple users can simultaneously engage in 4K video streaming, play online games, and perform other data-intensive tasks without latency or buffering.
DFS Certified
Dynamic frequency selection (DFS) certification from the FCC not only allows operation at 160 MHz enabling Tri-Stream160, but it also triples the channels available at 80 MHz so the WRT32XB can operate in the clearest airspace that other routers aren't allowed.
Engineered to Outperform
The WRT32XB features a performance-grade 1.8 GHz dual-core CPU, custom-built firmware and user interface, four external adjustable antennas with high-power amplifiers, and high-efficiency heatsink. Aesthetically, it boasts a stealthy design, sleek matte-black finish, and blue LED lights—the perfect complement to any gaming environment.
Linksys Auto Firmware Upgrade
Linksys automatically pushes software updates to your router overnight and seamlessly brings the latest features and security to your home network. The WRT32XB will be consistently getting better over time.
Pro-Grade Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity
The WRT32XB gaming router also features a pro-grade Gigabit Ethernet switch with four ports, making it ideal for connecting multiple gaming rigs or consoles at your next LAN party.

    Linksys WRT32X reviews

WRT32XB AC3200 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Xbox Gaming Router is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Performance! I couldn’t be happier with this router. As a gamer something I constantly struggle with is lag and this router has by far eliminated that problem and made it a thing of the past. Coming out of the box is a breeze to set up the device. It only takes a few minutes and the instructions are really simple to follow. There’s even a Linksys smart wifi page you can use to monitor your WiFi when you’re not home. I also found the Killer prioritization to be a great feature as well as the Guest WiFi network [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XBOX beast This router recognizes Xbox without a glitch. I noticed increased performance when playing my favorite shooter games. My ping seems to be lower when connecting there for giving me faster reaction times within play. On the downside of things I did notice the range was less than what I'm used to with a 5ghz connection. Of course this can always be fixed with an extender. All in all very similar to the wrt32x. I would definitely recommend this router so anyone interested in improving their gaming. This router is not exclusive two Xbox connectivity, you can hook up any device to it and adjust priority settings as well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have!!!!!! I received this item a few days ago and had the opportunity to test it thoroughly. Connected I have 3 gaming consoles not to mention approximately 20 other devices, and it works great I set the device in my downstairs room, and it provides strong service throughout the house. I also noticed close to no lag while 2 gaming consoles are going and none with only one. This has to one of the best routers I have ever used. Oh! and the software interface is absolutely easy to use self-explanatory. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Victory Is Yours!!! Awesome router, love that Linksys made an all black router that matches my Xbox one X. Also the redesign GUI is a nice touch, I'm no longer forced to use an app to setup the Linksys router, but if you want to go the easy route you can still use the App. The range on this router is awesome, no problems covering my 2400sqft home and the yard. If you or your kids are a gamer On Windows or Xbox this router is a must, using the Killer prioritization Engine and the customer built interface for gaming will defiantly give you the upper hand. Cant go wrong with this one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Results speak for themselves... Great router! To start, I held off posting my review until I was able to fully test this router. During this time, there was two firmware releases each improving the overall performance and features of this router. I look forward to seeing what is coming in the next releases. This router was easy to set up. I have set up dozens of routers over the past several years and this one is the best to date. The included quick start card walks you through every step along with a menu flow to get you up and running in no time. IMHO, this is the easiest router to get setup from unboxing, connecting cords and establishing Wi-Fi and securing. Perfect for anyone that is technically challenged however, you can dive deeper into the more advance settings and customize it even more. This is the closest to a plug and play router I have come across. Yes, I have seen minor improvement to Xbox online gaming (to be fair, I am coming from a comparable router). The prioritize support feature automatically adds Killer supported devices and allows you to assign High, Normal and Low priorities to all your connected devices. I work from home so I added my work computer to the High Priority and VOIP phone while leaving selected devices at normal or even moving them to low so they do not interfere with my work. I have priority over anyone streaming video in this configuration. I also set our Smart TV and Xbox in our room to high (for when I am not working, lol) so that I get the best quality streaming video and online gaming. We have over a dozen streaming devices plus seven gaming consoles in our household and I pay extra for unlimited broadband data because we frequently (eight consecutive months) went over the one TB ISP allotment. With eight persons in our household, there is at least one (usually more) streaming video at any given time. With this router and my configuration, I have noticed that my VO-IP calls are always clear now and no noticeable slowdowns when I am working over the VPN for work. Prior to this I was always have to ask people to stop streaming if I was on a conference call or transferring files. The Wi-Fi range is as good if not better than my previous router. I lose Wi-Fi on my mobile phone just over a city block away. No known dead zones on our property found as of yet. I have not encountered any connection issues and has been working flawlessly. It evens checks for and updates the firmware if a new version is available nightly (if enabled). Here are my before and after results (average of three tests with 150/20 ISP service): • Direct Connection to Cable Modem (wired): Ping 67 ms / Download 117 Mbps / Upload: 15 Mbps (strange but was consistent). • Previous Router (wired): Ping 35 ms / Download 156 Mbps / Upload: 18.5 Mbps • WRT32XB Router (wired): Ping 12 ms / Download 180.5 Mbps / Upload: 25.5 Mbps In closing, the dashboard via the internet browser keeps you apprised of all your network traffic (current bandwidth speeds), number of connected devices, Network Storage, last Speed Test result, and an option to obtain an updated Speed Test direct from the router (all this on a single page). You can then compare that value to the results on your individual devices to isolate any device issue(s). Overall, this is an exceptional router and I would (and will) recommend this device to beginners and advance users. It allows for guest access and an OpenVPN Client option. At some point, I may toy with trying some open source firmware but why mess with perfection? The only reason I would consider the open source firmware is that this router does not include any parental controls. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gaming Router That Auto Prioritizes Your XBox The router auto-detected my XBox One and placed it in the high priority category. Unfortunately, I don't have a PS4 or another gaming system other than a PC (that doesn't have a Killer NIC), so I don't know if it also auto prioritizes that console. I could not tell if there were any other enhancements as my router setup before testing this router was already a solid setup. The good news is, I did not experience any decline during the period I tested this router out. From what I could tell, it is basically just the WRT32X with Microsoft Branding on the Box and a script that will detect the XBOX One and place it in the high priority QoS. I did not experience the dropped connections I previously experienced with a WRT32X. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, Full of Features with Easy Set-Up The Linksys WRT32X AC3200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Gaming Router is a solid, full-featured router with all the latest tech and equipped for next-generation speeds. The simple set-ups was the quickest router set up I have yet experienced. Configuring WI-FI is just as simple one SSID configures both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi and the Router detects your device speed. The software is easy to use, but useful for all levels of control. I don't have a Killer enabled device so can't speak to that. However, the prioritization process is simple and I like being able to rename each device. This is a powerful, full-featured router at a reasonable price. Excellent for normal use with added key features for gamers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A worth while upgrade I had the wrt-32 on my sons network. He and his brother game on windows pcs. Have both Xbox one s machines and PlayStation pro machine and wireless tablets and of course iPhones. Setup was simple. Just switch routers and configure via his iPhone. 10 mins tops. Speed test showed on his tablet, 400kb/sec download. 6kps/ sec upload. Wired connection was even faster. His games were optimized on their Xbox machines and windows. Very little I had to do. They love it. Dads a hero. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
