    Velbon DF-10ML reviews

DF-10ML Mini Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent I could not be more please with this tripod. I am home bound, and must take pictures from a window. I have a Tamaron 200 to 500 lens and a Nikon FM3a on it. The tripod holds this with no problems what so ever. I am much more critical of equipment than most people, because I was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. This peace of equipment is designed extremely well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mini really means mini! Please be aware that the tripod can only elevate to the height of approximately less than 1 meter. how ever, the tripod is easy to expand and the horizontal and vertical revolution is very smooth. one thing that cuts off 1 star is that it doesn't have a horizontal level indicator which I find is a necessity, as pushing the gear all the way will not guarantee you to have a 100% accurate horizontal lock. The quick release was really reliable, and if you dont have any issues of it's height capability, this is a very good tripod for travelling and taking photos while sitting down (soccer match, panoramic view, etc.) sometimes, you need to take photos in a very low light condition and there is no way to deploy a tripod on the ground. what you have is maybe just a wall. you can use the mini tripod to give you support on the wall. much, much much better than just leaning.... I had took it on my roadtrip to Amsterdam, Paris. Reliable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth & Sturdy Good construction, the head allows smooth movements, quick release, the total height is a little less than I expected, but for the price I'm delighted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mini it is I actually accidentally ordered this tripod...intended to get a full size one for my second shooter (we always shoot weddings with two, and sometimes three photographers). When I received the box, I had to laugh! It didn't dawn on me until that moment that I had ordered the wrong thing. I was intending to mail it back but decided to bring it with me to a wedding and see if I could find a use for it (being that it was so inexpensive). A lot of the churches in Charleston do not allow flash to be used during the ceremony. To keep shake from becoming a problem, I usually mount my assistant's camera on a tripod at the rear of the church and lean against a wall myself to steady my stroboframe. At this chapel, there was not a very convenient wall to do this, but there was a piano off to the side. I was pleasantly surprised that a use had arisen for this tripod so quickly. I set it up on top of the piano and was able to get a lot of really great, shake free images of this wedding. This baby is staying where it is!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this again. For an economical tripod it is excellent. It is also a great size because it can be used as a table top and extends to much larger than most table top models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Velbon Quality Solid build as expected from Velbon. Holds my Nikon D90 with the 18-105mm lens with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gonna get a larger one for my cameras! I mounted my spotting scope on this for long range targets. For the money, I couldn't be happier. The included quick mount puts this tripod over the top for convenience. Very light weight and very stable. Adjustments are easy and smooth. Set up is almost instant. Makes my old one seem like a piece of junk. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's an OK tripod I needed a tripod for my Canoon 1D Mark 3 and a 70-200 lens that I could place close to the ground. I checked this at the B&H store and it seemed the best they had for the size. It works OK, however I'm still afraid my gear will topple over. The tripod will probably hold everything, but I still worry.
