Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro v2 Overview

Learn from B&H Experts

From Manufacturer

The SpiderPro Holster Box Set from Spider Camera Holster includes a durable aluminum and stainless-steel holster plus an ergonomic, well-balanced plate with a pin. The holster is compatible with the Spiderpro belt, but will easily clip to your own belt, and the set is designed to carry DSLR cameras weighing 5 lb or more comfortably around your waist. Once the plate is in position, you maintain complete access to the camera's battery compartment. The plate's rubber grips and anti-twist pin keep the camera securely in place.

The plate slides into the holster smoothly via the pin and secures with its two-position lock. Releasing the lock enables you to have your camera ready and available to quickly draw from the holster. The pin itself can be switched to either side of the plate, which makes it useful for left- or right-handed users, and a 1/4"-20 thread is provided, so you can mount the camera onto a tripod head without a quick release system, or add a quick release plate for your own system. Additionally, the included hex wrench can be stored on the underside of the plate when not in use.

Build quality is great and adapting it to my think tank belt was very easy with a set of longer screws.

Spider pro belt is an OK product but not for everybody

I am a wedding photographer and was recommended to get this spider belt to utilize for wedding days since they are long workdays requiring the use of multiple camera bodies. When I opened the box to my spider belt, I for some reason received two right sided mirrorless camera plates (instead of 1 right 1 left). So I am not able to correctly attach my cameras on my right hip and left hip. Everyone raved about this product because of how comfortable and easy it is to use. Before I got this, I have just used a shoulder strap/holster for my camera and have loved it. But I wanted to try this product so I could have multiple camera bodies on me throughout a wedding day. I have only used it for personal use so far but will test it out for my weddings this year. Just not super excited about the product.

Can I attach this holster on the belt "Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Single Camera System BH #SP100 • MFR #100". Is this secured?
Asked by: p
If you are referring to the original (version 1 -- now discontinued) Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Single Camera System, B&H # SP100, then no, it would not work for your usage needs. The holster included in the 211 Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Holster Box Set will fit on the V2 Spider Belt (the Spider Camera Holster Spiderpro Belt V2, B&H # SP402), but the belt clips on the V2 version are not compatible with the original V1 belt.

Would this work with a Leica M10?

Would this work with a Leica M10?
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you.. The best Holster to accommodate this type of camera body would be the Spider X Holster SET. The Spider X Holster SET comes with our Spider Mirrorless plate. This plate is designed for the thinner camera bodies and so should accommodate the Leica M10 body well. It's unique design will not block the battery door. The plate has a built-in Arca-Swiss profile, so it will mate with any Arca Swiss style tripod. The plate also features an extra 14/20" universal thread for any other tripod or other attachements. Please take a look at the Spider X Holstert SET or the Spider X Backpacker (our Backpacker version fits BOTH on your own belt or onto most backpacks straps). Let us know if you have further questions, Thank you, Spider Support

how wide and thick of a belt will this attach to?

how wide and thick of a belt will this attach to?
Asked by: Jason
Hi Jason and thank you.. The SpiderPro clip is designed to accommodate our SpiderPro belt. The holster is attached via screws going through the belt for optimal stability and our belt supports heavy Pro gear and accessories. You could use the Pro holster with a regular leather or webbing belt, and It will accommodate a belt up to 2 1/8 inches tall, with up to 1/4" thick. Please know that regular pant belt will not give you near the support/comfort that of Spider belt, so please choose appropriate camera weight. For a Holster that is designed from the ground up to work on regular pant belts, please take a look at our Spider X offering. The X Holster clip has a built in feature that put constant tension on the belt. It is designed to work on belts up to 2" tall. Thank you so very much for thinking of us for your needs, Best Spider Team
