Intel 760p Overview

Designed to manage demanding consumer client applications and handle intense multitasking, the 256GB 760p M.2 Internal SSD from Intel delivers improved performance with less power consumption when compared to the previous generation 600p Series. This SSD has a capacity of up to 256GB, is equipped with an NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 interface, and an M.2 2280 (80mm) form factor, which allows it to be used in compatible desktops and notebook systems. In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential write speeds of up to 1315 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 3210 MB/s, random writes of up to 265,000 IOPS and random reads of up to 205,000 IOPS. Also employed is 3D2 TLC lithography, 1.6 million hours mean time between failures (MTBF), an endurance rating (lifetime writes) of 144 TBW, AES 256-bit hardware encryption, an uncorrectable bit error rate of <1 sector per 1015 bits read, and more.

With solid-state drive technology, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. SSDs also help to deliver improved battery life and cooler operating temperatures. Protection is provided by a limited 5-year warranty.

General Features

Performance to Handle Multiple Tasks

Accelerate your system with PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth, 64-layer Intel 3D NAND technology, sequential read speeds of up to 3210 MB/s, sequential write speeds of up to 1315 MB/s, and random read and write input/output operations per second (IOPS) of up to 205,000 and 265,000, respectively. All of this helps to deliver enhanced efficiency for applications that have greater performance requirements with improved speeds when compared to SATA SSDs.

3D NAND Delivers Capacity

The 760p Series SSD is part of Intel's 3D NAND SSD family of products. Built on Intel 3D NAND technology, this SSD is designed to helps transform the economics of storage with a 256GB capacity on single-sided M.2 2280 (80mm), enable system designed with the flexibility to design for thin/light systems or provide space for other components. The combination of Intel 3D NAND technology and PCIe enables Intel SSDs to push the limits of performance and value.

Performance at Low Power

The 760p Series SSD provided extended battery life through low power modes. It reduces idle consumption when compared to traditional hard disk drives, reducing power consumption from watts to milliwatts. When coupled with an 8th generation Intel Core processor-based platform, the power mode settings help to reduce active and idle power consumption when compared to the 600p Series SSDs.

Quality & Reliability

The 760p Series SSD is backed by Intel's limited 5-year warranty, including post-sales customer support. Also supported is AES 256-bit self-encryption to help provide protection for critical data.
