The Polsen MO-IPL2 is a lavalier condenser microphone designed to deliver accurate speech capture for podcasting, vlogging, video, television production, interviews, and public address. It features an Apple MFi–certified Lightning connector for compatibility with a variety of iOS devices, and a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack output to allow easy headphone monitoring of playback signal. The MO-IPL2's electret condenser element produces a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, which is honed to complement the sound of the human voice. The omnidirectional polar pattern ensures responsive sound pick-up from all directions while avoiding the bass boost caused by proximity effect.

No batteries or power supplies are required. Simply connect the MO-IPL2 to your compatible iOS device for immediate operation. An integrated 16-bit / 44.1 kHz analog-to-digital converter delivers enhanced fidelity and less noise when compared to your device's internal A/D converter. Affix the supplied windscreen to reduce wind noise, breath noise, and plosives. The 5.25' cable is insulated to inhibit radio-frequency interference and handling noise, yielding a clean audio output signal. Use the tie clip to attach the mic to your subject's clothing; lapels and collars are commonly used. For convenience in storage and transport, the MO-IPL2 comes with a carry pouch.

 

iOS Device Compatible

Thanks to the Apple MFi–certified Lightning connector, the MO-IPL2 operates via a single connection to the Lightning port of your compatible iPhone, iPad, or iPod; adapters, third-party cables, batteries, and power supplies are unnecessary. The MO-IPL2's sensitivity and impedance are tuned specifically for iOS devices, ensuring optimal performance.

Omnidirectional Polar Pattern

By utilizing an omnidirectional polar pattern, the MO-IPL2 is able to capture sound from all around it. Its 360° of responsiveness maximizes consistency in volume even when the subject turns away from the mic. It also eliminates the proximity effect that can occur when the mic is too close to the talent.

Vocal-Tailored Frequency Response

The electret condenser capsule's wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz is customized to complement the human voice. Whether recording in the field or working with an audience indoors, the tone and dynamic range of the MO-IPL2 yield an accurate and natural sound—a clear upgrade from internal mics in mobile devices.

Easy Playback Monitoring

Connect your headphones to the MO-IPL2's built-in 3.5mm stereo mini jack for easy monitoring when you play back recorded audio; listen to your recordings without having to disconnect the microphone.

Integrated Analog-to-Digital Converter

The MO-IPL2 features an integrated analog-to-digital converter that outputs digital signal at 16-bit / 44.1 kHz resolution. This bypasses the need for an external ADC and offers improved accuracy over your device's built-in converter.

Low-Noise Insulated Cable

The 5.25' cable is designed to minimize distracting handling noise and rumbling caused by friction between the cable and clothing. Its insulation inhibits radio-frequency interference, which is commonly encountered indoors and outside and is time-consuming to remove from recordings.

Tie Clip and Foam Windscreen

Use the supplied tie clip to securely and inconspicuously attach the mic to clothing for proper on-camera appearances. Handily reduce problematic wind noise and plosives by fitting the included foam windscreen atop the mic capsule.

This mic will only work for recording, it is disabled when an income call is received, even if you have plugged your iPhone earbuds or AirPods, this mic will be disabled. The perfect scenario for this mic is when you want to isolate your voice during recording, there’s when you see it’s virtudes. Hope this helps.
