Think Tank Photo Pixel Racing Harness V3.0 Overview

Designed for the modular belt system, this black Pixel Racing Harness V3.0 from Think Tank Photo attaches to any optional Think Tank belt to help distribute weight to your shoulders and allow you to carry more gear. It can be used by anyone from 5' to 6' 5" tall, with adjustable buckle stops on all three straps to help you find the best fit. A 3D air mesh material keeps the harness breathable for use in hot days, and foam padding makes it comfortable and easy to wear.

For mounting accessories, the Pixel counts with dual D-rings at the top for attaching a hook and a small stretch pocket for everyday items. An attachment point is available for the optional Little Stuff It! pouch, and the harness is also compatible with the Camera Support V2.0 straps. Finally, a quick release buckle on the front allows you to easily remove the harness after you are done shooting.

Neat Concept, Bummed Out

I was looking forward to trying this harness out, especially excited to potentially add a Peak Design Capture Clip somewhere along the shoulder strap. Unfortunately, the only place I could get the capture clip to fit was along the mollie webbing; the lowest loop sits just above my collarbone. Once I clip the camera into place, I have to be mindful about turning my face into it. Maybe after some wear and practice, I'll figure it out, but initial fitting left me disappointed, and I cannot imagine actually being comfortable when out in the field. The yoke across the back sits rather high on my neck and the finishing material and thread scratches against my skin. It won't matter when I'm wearing layers, but I was hopeful to use this in warmer weather, too. In general, this harness doesn't seem to accommodate a smaller frame very well. Despite being a 5'6 smaller-than-average female, I thought I would haven enough torso length for this product to fit. As of now, I'm struggling to find a good way to balance my equipment between the harness and the belt. If you're female and petite to average size, this product likely won't fit you well.

If you're like me and need extra support look no further. This product helps take the weight off your hips and distributes it onto the shoulders. The only drawback I found was the harness will need some wear before it comfortably conforms to your body shape. Don't worry though it will break in a fit like a favorite glove.

Can the Think Tank Photo Pixel Racing Harness accommodate the Peak Design's Capture Clip anywhere along the padded shoulder strap? Ideally it would fit right under the sternum strap attachment point, but I worry the padding may be too thick there. I'm concerned if the Capture Clip can only fit at the very bottom of the padded strap, it may be too low to work well.

Yes, the Peak Design's Capture Clip should work up and down the padded shoulder area.

The item is displayed with a belt. Is this belt included? I know the description says it can be used with optional belts. Are those different than the one pictured? If no belt is included the pictures are misleading. Thanks!

The first image has the belt greyed out. B&H should really do this to all the images to clarify the belt is not included.
