The X-Acto X239 Extra-Fine Saw Blade is manufactured from a sharpened carbon steel. It can be used in arts and crafts applications, and can cut into soft woods and plastics. The blade is able to go into small and tight spaces to make delicate cuts, and fits the X-Acto #5, #6, and wood carving blade handles.
