Housed in a black gloss desk that can hold 4 RU of rackmount gear (in 2 x 2 RU configurations), the Slate Digital RAVEN Z3C provides three RAVEN touchscreens and custom-built furniture befitting of your new stereo centerpiece. In the middle of the desk sits a 46" touchscreen, and on either side, you'll find two 27" RAVENs. The screens can be configured in various ways, described below in the features section.
For now, know this: with the RAVEN, nevermore do you have to rely on your mouse for controlling your DAW. Instead, all three screens offer multi-touch tablet-like control-surfaces, allowing you to raise and lower faders, control plug-in parameters with the swipe of your finger, or manipulate VIs and sound-design software in a more hands-on way.
Included with the Slate Digital RAVEN Z3C is the Batch Command System, which can execute a whole series of key commands with the press of one virtual button. By default, 100s of presets are included for most major DAWs. However, you can program your own custom commands yourself, housing up to 1000 functions in one command.
The RAVEN Z3C interfaces with most DAWs, though for a list of general compatibilities, please see the specification section. Connections can be made to your computer by means of a standard HDMI cable (available separately) and a USB 2.0 connection. An iLok 2 dongle—also available separately—is required for operating the RAVEN Z3C. The desk comes outfitted with a Slate Control Analog Monitoring System.
