Would this be a good stand to use with a slider? I don't see how this is any different than the Slider Stand other than the dimensions.
The Slider Stand Is a much beefier stand with much more "camera/lens height" friendly range. Its ability to get the slider low is very valuable. The risers and legs are sturdier on the slider stand, it's 1-1/8" Junior receiver is more stable than 5/8" Baby Pin. Both are great stands but the Slider Stand is designed to support a dynamic load,and will provide a much more stable base.The Low Boy Combo is more similar to the slider stand than the Hollywood Beefy Baby.

the top of the stand features a 5/8" Baby pin, so any unit with a 5/8" Baby receiver will mount to the stand. There are certainly adapters that will mount hot shoes to Baby Pins.

It says this stand will not accept wheels but there are wheels listed as an accessory? Does it take wheels or not?
We no longer carry wheels for 3/4 sq legs.

I don't need higher than 8.5-foot but I want sturdy steel contruction. Unlike the 12.4-foot triple riser version which only states Steel contruction, the shorter one here states Steel and Aluminum. So is it mostly steel or aluminum? And is it constructed any different than the triple riser version I mentioned here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/139497-REG/Matthews_387031_Hollywood_Beefy_Baby_Steel.html
Same construction and design. Steel legs and parts with aluminum risers. Sturdy stand, a little heavy, but def a good purchase. If you're traveling by plane with theses, I might opt for all aluminum.
