Styled in a See Thru Black Satin finish, the ESP LTD-M-1007MS is a seven-string electric guitar with a double-cutaway design, a mahogany body with a flamed maple drop-top, and a multi-scale neck. Ranging from 27.0 to 25.5", this neck makes use of an angled fret construction that allows for a string tension built for extended-range guitars. It also provides a more ergonomic playing feel.
The five-piece bolt-on neck is fashioned out of maple and purpleheart, sporting a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. The body's drop top of thick, flamed maple has been bent over a relatively lightweight mahogany back.
For electronics, this guitar offers two Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, both of which sport a custom-angled shape to better suit the multi-scale design. A Sentient in the neck provides a balanced and versatile tone, while the Nazgul in the bridge position exhibits an aggressive, lively, and controllable high-gain output. Indeed, you can use this pickup for the most brutal of metal chugs. Split the coils if you wish with a push/pull selector in the tone knob for a more single-coil sound. A volume knob and a pickup selector give you additional controls.
Strings are secured to the body with a Hipshot bridge. This bridge utilizes a string-thru design for bolstered sustain. At the headstock, you'll find LTD locking tuners to ensure tuning stability. Other features include black hardware and a black bone nut.
