Previously I've had my a7siii batteries floating around in my camera bag. This case takes up more space and I don't find the top zipper compartment to be particularly useful but the cutouts fit the batteries perfectly and it does the job to keep them safe and more organized.
I'm sure you could fit your batteries and memory cards in less space but the organization of them both in a secure package is a real bonus.
