The Dark Base 700 RGB LED Mid-Tower Case from be quiet! is designed for quiet operation and efficient cooling. It can support up to an E-ATX motherboard with room to spare for additional storage drives, graphics cards and other PCIe-based expansion cards, and water-cooling hardware. There are also plenty of fan mounting spots and it comes with two pre-installed SilentWings 3 fans to keep things cool. To simplify hardware installation, be quiet! has designed this case with adjustable drive bays, which let you reposition them to fit a longer graphics card. Aesthetics-wise, it has a windowed side panel and built-in RGB LED lighting that you can customize and sync with other compatible lighting products. Once everything's in place, you'll have quick and easy access to USB ports, audio in/out jacks, as well as fan and lighting controls located at the front panel.

be quiet! Dark Base 700 Reviews
Plenty of space with ATX
This case worked well with my ATX MB and 3080 video card. Plenty of space for the air to move through and doesn't sound like its trying to take off with my OC components. I'm also using the be quiet! AIO CPU cooler with 280mm fans. The cabling hides nicely on the back side. I'm all solid state so I didn't need all of the extra parts for mounting HDDs.
A great case with one exception.
This is a beautiful case that is well thought out with many nice features. For the most part it is well built. I bought it because I wanted to use the feature to change the glass panel from the right side of the case to the left side, and this case is well designed to do that. It was not difficult to disassemble the case and transfer the motherboard tray to the opposite side. Reassembling it was another story. The only complaint I have is that the top of the case is poorly designed and very difficult to put back in place. I worked for over a half hour just to put the top back on. I had to redo it, because the front panel buttons ended up withdrawn from the surface of the top. That took another fifteen minutes. I've seen others complain of the difficult fit of the top of the case. My advice to anyone reversing the case is to look very carefully at how it fits when you are taking it apart, especially how the front of the top articulates with the main part of the case. It is difficult to get off and to get back on, and careful observation in removal will save you time and frustration. The case is so nice otherwise that I'm giving it four stars despite the trouble with the top. This is a German case, so given the reputation of German engineering you'd think they could design a better fit for the top.
An Excellent Case
I got this case largely because it is reversible with the glass on the right side (looking at the case from the front). The procedure was easy, especially using YouTube demonstrations. The case is solid and well designed. There is plenty of room in the case, but I wish an inch had been added to the width to allow for easier cable management. I am very pleased with the case and am glad I bought this one. Extra hard drive cages are rather hard to come by, since everyone is out of them, but everyone seems to be out of a lot of things, especially graphics cards.
Solid, flexible & high quality
I had purchased the 700 for it's reversible glass/inverted build, and am very impressed with the case. The customization potential is awesome. My only criticism is that the directions for the inverted build skips dealing with the cable bundle... but BeQuiet! customer support is helpful and very responsive so still 5 stars :)
Great product
A wonderful product and it was a good choice, characterized by enough space for each piece that you want to install in complete comfort, attractive shape
Great case - just read the instructions!
Two things to know about this case. #1 - it is BIG. There is a ton of free space in there and it has a large footprint. #2 - the hard drive mounting screws fit perfectly into the slot for the motherboard. Don't get them confused like I did as they don't come out! (It's ok - they hold it in place). Cons - It's bigger than I imagined, but that's on me. The tempered glass has four thumb screws so is a but of a pain to remove and attach. Pros: The fans are very quiet - especially in fan mode 1. The case looks awesome with elegant use of LEDs and is not overly flashy. It has a ton of upfront ports (including a USB-C that could charge an iPad or laptop). Cable management is pretty easy given how large the case is.
