Designed primarily for electric bassists, the Eden Module is a preamp pedal based on Eden’s Terra Nova amplifiers. The pedal provides separate controls for input and output gain, as well as a switchable compressor for evening out your tone. An Enhance circuit provides a broad, one knob tone control for achieving your general sound, which you can then tweak further with the semi-parametric equalizer. Low and High knobs adjust your bass and treble ranges respectively, while two midrange knobs boast selectable frequency ranges to fine tune your timbre.
The pedal sports active and passive inputs, stereo outputs, and an effects loop that you can bypass with a footswitch. To feed sound straight to a house PA or recording interface, an XLR DI output is offered. You can also mute the signal and instantiate the enhance circuit with dedicated footswitches. A power cable is included with the Module.
Enhance Footswitch: This footswitch engages/disengages the Enhance feature
Loop Footswitch: Use this to engage or bypass the external effects loop
Compressor Switch: This turns the compressor circuit on and off
Input Gain Knob: This adjusts the amount of signal sent into the preamp stage
Enhance Knob: This circuit is an EQ sweep that simultaneously boosts extreme lows, upper mids, and highs while cutting lower midrange frequencies. This is a broad control that can help you achieve the overall right tone before moving on to the more granular EQ
Bass Knob: This adjusts the low frequencies of the pedal
Bass Boost Switch: When engaged, the Bass control will offer a more pronounced adjustment
Low Mid Switch: This adjusts the low-midrange frequencies; use this in conjunction with the Low Mid Freq Sweep control
Low Mid Freq Sweep Knob: This adjusts the range of operation of the Low Mid switch, from 30 to 300 Hz
Hi Mid Level Control: This knob adjusts the high-midrange frequencies; use it in conjunction with the Hi Mid Freq Sweep control
Hi Mid Freq Sweep Knob: Use this control to adjust the range operation of the Hi Mid knob, from 200 to 2000 Hz
Treble Knob: This adjusts the highest frequencies of the spectrum
Master Knob: Use this knob to control the overall output level
Passive Input: Plug your low-output or passive instrument into this 1/4" jack
Stereo Outputs: The preamp has two 1/4" outputs, though you can of course run your instrument in mono
Auxiliary Input: Connect an external device to the preamp using a 3.5mm cable
Headphone Output: Connect your headphones here using standard 3.5mm headphone cable
Send/Return Jacks: Send your sound and receive its return signal from any outboard gear you’d like to use with the preamp
Tuner Output: This output feeds clean signal to a dedicated tuner
