    Nest T5000SF reviews

Temperature Sensor (White) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 159.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unnecessary accessory for your Nest This doesn't really add functionality to your thermostat. If you need your living room to be 75 degrees and the thermostat is in the hallway, you might have to set the thermostat to 72 to get the desired temperature. You just need to know what to set it at to get the desired temperature in a certain room. Having these doesn't really do anything other than to save you from having to figure that out yourself. If you set your Nest sensor to 75 in the living room, then the hallway will cool until it reaches 72.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invaluable in a multi-story home I live in a fairly new builder created neighborhood, which unfortunately means we have no trees or shade. This has always made controlling temperatures a pain as the upstairs for sleeping was always much warmer than the downstairs thermostat location. As soon as I learned about the Nest Temperature Sensor I knew this was going to help is combat this temperature discrepancy we constantly battled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another way to use sensor Not only do i use a sensor to be the temperature control point in my two story home I have a sensor for outside for actual outside temp. I need this sensor to easily know when to turn on my whole house fan. Would be great if my Nest could control the fan but I would need to be able to have a device that would open a window our two. Still really great to be able to know when to turn off my AC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less expensive 2 zone option I love that I have 2 temperature zones for upstairs and downstairs without the expense of additional central air unit. I keep the downstairs sensor during the day, and the upstairs thermostat during the night. The temp difference of upstairs to downstairs is 3-5 degrees so I save energy during the day using the cooler temperature zone of downstairs since everyone is downstairs during the day time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better temperature control I have these nest temp sensors in multiple rooms, my nest thermostat is in the hallway as is the usual case but the hallway does not reflect the actual temp in different rooms in my house. After adding the nest temp sensor the nest thermostat now actually can control the temp in each of my rooms and the learning function of the thermostat was able to learn quickly my living patter switching sensor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chase the hot spots out With these guys I am able to chase out the hot spots from my home. I would recommend a 3 pack as a minimum and place them in different parts of your home away from the main sensor. This way you get a good potential temperature spread. The only enhancement I can see is allowing the system to auto pick the hottest sensor and track to that vs making me cook up a schedule to track to different sensor

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flexibility to control temperature from any room I recently purchased two Nest Temperature Sensors as I wanted to control temperature in specific rooms at specific time of day. My Nest Thermostat is located in a hallway. These temperature sensors are located in my living room and master bedroom. During the day I spend the most time in the living room while at night I spend my time in the master bedroom. Now I can set the location and temperature

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped us sleep well We had problems getting to a comfortable temperature to sleep. I live in Florida and it gets really hot during summers, and our thermostat being at the living room would not get our bedroom comfortable at night. The living room was too cold and the room was too warm. We got the nest sensor for the bedroom and setup a schedule to use this sensor at night, and we got very good results. I recommend!
