The Vidpro TT-4 4" Tabletop Tripod & Handgrip is a portable camera support solution for small camcorders, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras. Unfold it to lock your camera down on a tabletop, or for low-to-the-ground shots. Fold the tripod legs into a pistol grip for stable handheld shooting. In this mode, the built-in wrist strap helps prevent your camera from accidentally tumbling to the ground. When you're done shooting, just flip the camera plate into the grip and stow in your camera bag for the next shoot.

Broke immediately

This stand/ hand grip has an unusual opening mechanism, where two of the pieces open like a butterfly's wings. The pieces which open often stick, and after about two days one of them broke in half while opening. Total junk. Maybe I should have expected it for the price, but I'm more annoyed at the lost time. Hopefully fewer people will have that problem in the future.

Since it has a dual use, as a handheld or a table top tripod, its a good value.

question
I am having difficulty getting the unit to open in tripod stance. does it swing away from it, or do you pull the two pieces apart? it seems very tight
It may be very tight when new. The legs will swng away in opposite directions.
