Baby tripod

I like it with lighter cameras and short lenses to use at restaurants to photograph people and/ or stuffed animals. Not rally heavy duty, but holds average cameras at low altitude securely enough to use slow shutter speeds and still get sharp results.

A little tricky

The adjustments are rather fiddly, and the feet could stand to be a little grippier. The little suction-cuppy bit on the middle doesn't seem to do anything. It almost slid off the hood of my car. On a level surface, it held up my mirrorless with no problems. I imagine it will work well with most DSLRs. I wouldn't want to use it to try to follow a subject around, but it is good for holding the camera in one position.

question

Can this hold a 5D IV with a canon 100 mm macro lens?
Asked by: Nora
I wouldn't say that it can't be used for a 5D with Macro Lens... It's all about balance and counterweight. The tripod and head can hold the weight with no problem, but if the camera/lens is tilted down, for example, and is off center, it may tip the tripod over because it's so lightweight. A simple solution is to have a counterweight handy - a small shot-bag or clamp-on weight would do the trick.
