The desk is actually created using the front lid of the case. The table legs fold up and into the lid, and then the lid attaches to cover the drawers for transport. If you enlarge the third photo and zoom in, you can see two brackets located on the side of the case, just above the handles, which are used to secure the lid for use as a desk.
