Housed in a lightweight, O-ring-sealed composite body, the Brunton Transit M2 military-style compass employs a powerful rare earth magnet mounted on a sapphire bearing to give accurate readings quickly. Its bezel bears a 0-6400 MRAD scale, and the M2 can measure vertical angles of ± 90° and grades in 5% increments. Declination is adjustable up to 180°. Look through the sighting window in the precisely aligned mirror to take bearings to landmarks; the transit is equipped with a ball-and-socket tripod mount for the most stable, accurate readings. This versatile instrument measures 3.2 x 2.8 x 1.3" and weighs just 5.7 ounces.
