There are two types of mounts in the kit. You can either screw onto a stand like you would with an Aviom mixer or you can attach to either on your mic stand or music stand. I only use it with the first option and the second mount has no use for me. I just wish they had sold just one type for less amount of money. On top of the Earmix, it's another $60 just for the mount, which in many cases will not be an option.
