    Samsung 970 Pro reviews

512GB 970 PRO NVMe M.2 Internal SSD is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great SSD! This is simply the best drive I’ve ever purchased! I can hardly believe the speeds as it even exceeds the rated speeds according to both Samsung Magician and Crystal DiskMark. Super simple installation using Samsung’s data migration software, and the drive endurance rating is wow! No way I could ever come close to wearing this thing out. Samsung makes the best and fastest drives hands down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Computer Never Ran Better Critical work ahead I delayed the installation. Later I used AEOMI to clone the boot drive. It still booted on the original drive so I pulled the SATA power connector and it booted with a BIOS visit to name the new boot drive. Later re-powered the old boot drive and formatted it. Now I use it as an additional backup drive. Computer boots and operates more quickly in all circumstances and I also see a smaller demand on RAM of about 2GB less most of the time so there must be other efficiencies from the change. Put it this way -> there is no going back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am shocked how good the drive is I do not do reviews very often, unless the product purchase exceeds my expectation and I just want to shout in positive vibes about it! Samsung 970 Pro NVMe SSD is one of them. I have a Dell XPS 13 ultrabook with a subpar SSD from Toshiba. Replaced the drive for Samsung and Windows installation from scratch took less than 5 minutes - wow. Synthetic benchmarks blew my mind: Sequential Read: Toshiba 2661 MB/s Samsung 3539 MB/s Sequential Write: Toshiba 359 MB/s Samsung 2349 MB/s Just buy it! A little pricey but every dollar is justified. -Adam

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SSD 970 PRO NVMe M.2 1TB I see that the EVO version has the 2gb capacity. When will the 2gb for the PRO come out? I apologize this is not a review but more of a question nevertheless I have no doubt this is a great product as I have owned 3 Samsung SSDs (2 of them NVMEs). Samsung is indeed a leader in this space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from But they don't include the screw! Great SSD, but man what a hassle because the 1c screw needed to secure it to the board is not included!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, fast, and fast Out of the box it was so much smaller than I expected. Like the size of a flash drive. Setup was a little difficult. I had to find the screw that came with my MOBO. Luckily I was able to. Then getting it screwed in took some patience. Once it was installed, cloning with the migration software was super simple. Restarted and changed my boot order, and I was up and running. First thing I did to test was load up PUBG. My load times went from 30s-1m down to less than 5s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fastest non-Optane SSD you can get Upgraded from 950 PRO to 970 PRO. Runs cooler and faster. You will not see the difference in regular office use, but photo/video editing or generally large file loading/saving will be a lot faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Pro is not the Evo, but fast isn't necessarily class... MLC tech is going to be reliably fast over the lifespan of the Pro drive. Do your homework on SLC cache with TLC drives (Evo) vs MLC drives (Pro). 5 year warranty on both though... Cannot worry or complain about that for either model. It depends on usage and expectations. I am pleased with the performance of the Pro, and I expect years of use without concern.
