JOBY JB01528 Reviews
Does the job.
I'm a wedding photographer and use several off camera flashes on nano stands for reception lighting. In the past I've used metal cold shoe mounts but had issues with the metal pins on the flash mount making contact and causing the flashe to misfire and/or change settings. I struggled to find other plastic ones so decided to give these a try even though they wouldn't last long. I even bought extras to have on hand, however I've been using them for the past few months and they've been doing great. Much easier to slip the flash into the mount than others I've used. I wouldn't use them for anything heavier than a bare flash (I use Godox v1's) and they probably wouldn't survive a light stand falling over but they're stronger than they look. Overall no complaints.
Stick with the other model
Stick with the "Joby Universal Flash Shoe B&H # JOUFS MFR # JB01311". It's more robust and price is the same.
