It attaches to a table or desk via its C-clamp mount, which offers a maximum grip of 2". In combination with its iron and plastic construction, this MBA18 offers a 5/8"-27 microphone clip threading that can accommodate any microphone weighing up to 5 lb.

While I couldn't be happier with B&H's fast shipping, great service, etc., I can't stress enough that this boom arm DOES NOT hold the advertised 5 Lbs. Like, not even close. Bummer.
What can I say it does the job. The length of the arm and compact form factor are a great combination to have for a small desk setup.No instructions came in the package but it was self explanatory how to set it up and was fairly easy being my first and last boom arm I'll be purchasing. The adjustments are great too and clamp doesn't take up much space at all.Overall great investment and great product, highly recommended!
