Moto Moto G6 overview

  • 1Description

Capture and learn more about the world around you with the Moto G6 32GB Smartphone from Motorola. With the Moto G6, you can satisfy your curiosity by just pointing the 12MP and 5MP dual-rear cameras at an object or landmark and watch as the G6 begins to try and recognize it. When the G6 figures it out, it'll automatically ask you if you want to learn more.

Another feature of the rear camera is its ability to scan in text from a physical document to text blocks. You can copy those blocks into texts, emails, notes, and more. The front-facing 8MP camera is pretty smart too. Instead of using a password, you can use the camera to unlock your Moto G6 with nothing but your good looks.

When it comes to photos and video, the rear cameras can snap some stunning pics, as well as videos in up to 1080p HD resolution. Get creative with your videos by using the slow motion or time-lapse modes. On the front, the camera has the ability to take wide-angle selfies. This lets you capture more of the scene around you, or more easily jam in extra friends to the shot.

The Moto G6 features an edge-to-edge Full HD+ Max Vision 5.7" display. The display has a 1080 x 2160 HD resolution, and a 18:9 aspect ratio that gives your videos a cinematic quality. The entire phone, including the display, is wrapped in durable, damage-resistant, Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Running the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, this phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 1.8 GHz Octa-Core processor and 3GB of RAM. You can store your apps, pictures, and time-lapse videos on 32GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via an (optional) microSD card up to 128GB in size.

This phone is unlocked and compatible with CDMA and GSM/4G LTE networks. Connect to the internet and other devices with built-in 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4+5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.

Moto Moto G6 reviews

Moto G6 32GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent The G6 has Android 8.0 which is why I bought it over the G5s Plus. For a few more dollars I am more up-to-date. I also like the screen better on the G6. Very clear, large screen and the shape is easier to hold than the G5s Plus. The G6 phone's size is a little narrower and just very slighter longer. I like the phone and recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointment for higher price i have this phone for 3 months now and its a huge no go coming from g4+ (i skipped g5) this is no upgrade at all - slow processor (not super slow but really it is almost no upgrade over g4+ ) camera same slow as g4+ ,reception is much worse then g4+ ,no idea what is going on but sometimes this phone just stops receiving any signal even with LTE showing at 50-90% ,especially when you hold your phone from top - it might be antenna issue ,not sure camera takes same pictures like the old ones battery is about the same so not bad only upgrades - usb C charging port ,slow motion 60fps camera and cant think off any more ,o the screen is finally 18:9 better buy g5+ or put another 100$ for last year LG6 or something no more moto for me

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice phone, if you're not looking for anything too fancy I have it for 2 weeks and I like it so far. It has a nice camera with a bunch of cool features such as the the portrait and the color pick. It runs fast and the 32gb storage is perfect for me. On the other hand, I expected the battery to last longer given it is a new phone. It will only last for a whole day. Also, a couple of applications has already frozen within the first week of usage. All in all, what I can say is that the phone meets my needs and that I got what I paid for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Phone for my Daily Use Had the phone for about 2 weeks. It is a good phone for checking news and banking accounts, catching things up etc. Easy to grab with one hand. No issues with GPS so far. Camera is not as good as the Nexus 6P from Leica. The camera App didn't work. Had to download a different one. The extra stuffs from B&H might be not worth $30+. Not sure what to do with a dozen "protective" glass screens? The case is ugly - may want a different one. Would like to give screen protector away for free if someone can make a use of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best phone I've ever had This phone is hands down the best phone I've had, I love it. From the OS, to the hardware and functionality, it's terrific. I stumbled upon it pre-US release getting rave reviews, but post release a lot of naysayers. All I can think of is they must be coming from a phone way above the $250 price tag of this one. For the price I am beyond pleased with purchasing one, and this after over a month with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice phone snappy operation, very fast fingerprint open. Sometimes the camera doesn't use HDR when it would help, when it's set on auto HDR, so I often turn forced HDR on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value This device is more than worth the money. It's beautiful, performance is great, and the battery will easily last through the day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too many negatives, not sure I will keep this phone Pros: IPS Screen, 18:9 aspect ratio, fingerprint sensor response, Oreo 8.0 O/S Cons: Battery life, POOR camera, 4G antenna is poor, processor is a downgrade from previous models, 3GB ram, All glass design breaks easily front and back Coming from a G4+ 64MB 4GB this is truly a downgrade. If you value a camera regularly you need to pass on this phone. It is the worst camera I have seen in some time. Takes 12-20 seconds to process a worthless fuzzy photo. Need to take a picture of something 5 times to get it. Previous phones: Moto G4+, Nexus 5x, Nexus 6 I am going to return this phone and get something from LG, the price vs. performance is not where it should be with this phone. It feels like a budget phone in almost every respect. $250 is way more than this phone is worth. $169 is where it should be. Just trying to be honest after more than 30 days with the phone, and a replacement.
