From my research the answer is a no, but can it take 2 inputs and flip the monitor vertically to fill the screens? Meaning, if I use only 2 camera inputs and use the monitor like iPad, can it show 2 inputs top and bottom with maximizing screen real estate?
Unfortunately no, the multiview layout is a 2x2 grid and is not alterable.

It will not. The maximum input it supports is 1080p.

Incompatibility with the SDI output on the Blackmagic Design MultiView 4 HD with SDI capable monitors can either be incompatible resolution and frame rates, SDI level, or the port is defective. Please try to use the Blackmagic MultiView application with a USB connection on computers to set up. The application can be seen on the left side of the support page after clicking on the link below:
