Featured: Great for Studio Management
Convertibility + Quad-Core processor = creative powerhouse
Found in: Creative Laptops

The 15.6" Flex 5 Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Notebook from Lenovo is a well-rounded system designed for everyday uses such as browsing the Internet, streaming movies and TV shows, creating and editing documents, and video chatting with friends. Thanks to its 2-in-1 design, you can easily flip it from laptop mode to tablet or tent mode to fit your current application. Powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7-8550U quad-core processor and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, it can efficiently multitask and quickly access frequently used files and programs. When handling a heftier workload, the CPU can reach a core clock speed of 1.8 GHz thanks to Intel Turbo Boost technology.

Its 15.6" display features a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and is built with an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel, which offers vivid colors and wide viewing angles. It also supports touch input, so you can utilize touch gestures and commands within Windows 10 to enhance its accessibility and efficiency. Graphical processing is driven by an NVIDIA GeForce MX130 graphics card, and it has an HDMI port that allows you to connect an additional display for enhanced multitasking or larger viewing.

For storing your music, photos, videos, and more, it's equipped with a 256GB PCIe SSD and a 1TB 5400 rpm HDD. Should you need more room, you can connect external storage solutions using its multiple USB ports, as well as its 4-in-1 media card reader, which can also be used to quickly transfer files from mobile devices. Other integrated features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a webcam, microphones, speakers, a fingerprint reader, and a 3.5mm mic and headphone combo jack. The operating system installed is Windows 10 Home.

Intel 8th-Generation Processor
Intel's 8th-generation processors offer better efficiency and lower power consumption when compared to previous-generation chips. Combined with DDR4 RAM, you'll be able to run more programs and open more files simultaneously without slowing down.
Keep Moving
The Flex 5 features a 3-cell 52.5 Wh lithium-ion battery that can keep you company for almost the whole day. It also has an always-on USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port that can be used to charge your mobile devices, even if the system is powered off.
Streamlined Security
The Flex 5 is equipped with a fingerprint reader, so you can securely log onto the system. It can also be used to make secure, one-touch purchases online with Windows Hello support.
Flexible 360° Hinge
With a flexible 360° hinge design, the Flex 5 notebook can easily be flipped into tablet mode to browse the Internet, tent mode to watch a movie, or laptop mode to get some work done.
Full HD IPS Display
An IPS (In-Plane Switching) display provides you with vivid colors and wide viewing angles so you can enjoy using this notebook at almost any angle. It also has slim side bezels to maximize your viewing experience.
Harman Audio
The Flex 5 notebook is equipped with Harman Audio speakers for louder, clearer sound without much distortion. It also features a sound leveler to ensure that your audio remains consistent across all programs.
Stay in Touch
Equipped with dual array noise-cancelling microphones and a 720p webcam, the Flex 5 can be used to video chat with your friends, family, and coworkers.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Lenovo FLEX 5 reviews

    15.6" Flex 5 Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Notebook is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as intended Laptop is sturdy and ergonomic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Latest tech, attractive looks, well built Coming from a 2011 Lenovo Ideapad, this 2018 Flex with all the power, latest Windows OS, sleek lines, and bells n whistles really won me over. In between I tried to move over to the MacBook but I miss the Windows file system and configuration flexibility that I've come to be so familiar with. What I love: Finger print reader is fast and accurate Full 1080P is gorgeous and detailed (yes it pops), touch screen CPU and GPU - i7 8th gen nuff said about performance; 2gb dedicated GPU, this thing smokes most models with 4gb of ram SSD pcie and HDD combo - fast start up and shut down and everything in between, plenty of room Internet connection is always solid Keyboard - centered, backlit and clicky Solid hinge Clear sounding Harman speakers Good price/value The mehs: Fan can be heard at time. I will try to adjust the bios and listen again Screen gets glossy in well lit places, not anti glare enough Couple adjustments to make are the touchpad which has gotten more advanced, and the Windows store IMO not quite as useful as Android Play store or the Apple store. That's all I got, minor personal preference quibbles I hook this laptop to a 25" 2K monitor via HDMI when sitting at the desk, it is setup the way I want. I mainly run MS & Google Offices, Adobe Elements & Premier, surf the net, watch Youtube, set it next to me in the kitchen when I cook. Very pleased with this purchase. Finally I will say one thing about that 2011 Lenovo Ideapad. It has never broken down. I replaced the 500gb HDD recently to a new 250 gb SATA SSD, and it is running better than new :) and gets the highest regards from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a good buy!!! This computer is unbelievable. First of all the staff helped me pick it. I spoke to Chris and he walked through the specs that I needed. I am using the computer for graphic design. It has a clear display, works pretty fast, a lot of memory and nice size screen. I would highly recommend purchasing this computer at B and H!
