GOgroove SonaVERSE UBR Overview

Experience your multimedia content in a whole new way with the SonaVERSE UBR USB-Powered Soundbar from GoGroove. With a soundbar-style design, this dual speaker fits nicely onto your desktop; and with its minimalist design, it doesn't get in the way.

Installation is simple, plug in the included USB cord into your computer's USB port to power the speaker and then plug the included 3.5mm cable into the computer's (or other audio source's) aux output jack to begin hearing your music, games, and other multimedia content like never before. A second 3.5mm jack allows you to plug in an optional external microphone or connect a pair of headphones. Once installed, the speaker can be turned on or off, and the volume can be raised and lowered using the single control dial.

High-Quality Sound
The UBR boasts classic soundbar styling and dual 3W (RMS) drivers designed to give audio playback a big boost. It also features an innovative angled shape that directs sound up and toward your ears instead of directly at your chest. The slight tilt allows for louder and clearer stereo sound every time and also provides a full-range audio experience .
Space-Saving Design
The UBR is designed to complement your LCD or LED monitor. Thanks to its low-profile design, the UBR can tuck directly under your monitor screen, conveniently utilizing that wasted space and freeing up room on your desk. This ultracompact stereo soundbar is the perfect alternative to the clutter and cables of desktop speakers.
USB-Powered with Audio and Mic/Headphone Ports
Turn the speaker on or off, and adjust the volume with a single control dial, which (when on) is illuminated by a blue LED indicator. To set up the speaker, just plug in the USB power cable and an audio source into one of the 3.5mm inputs located on the front. There's no software to install or bulky AC power adapters to deal with.

I bought this hoping to get rid of the Pebble speakers I have. Refused to work. I plugged it in and there was a blue light around the knob for maybe 1 second before it faded away. That was the only sign of life this speaker had. Tried a dozen times to get somebody on the phone or web chat, but good luck there.

Is it possible to use the speaker with a media ...

Is it possible to use the speaker with a media play instead of a computer, by using the USB port to connect the power to the wall and using the 3.5 audio port to connect to a media source?

Yes, it is possible to use the non-Bluetooth Line input for an external device without the use of a PC. In this case you are not using Bluetooth which does not require a BT capable device driving it, only one capable of pushing an analog signal out over a wire.

What's the sound quality like and how well does it work with web conferencing applications?

We have not heard the sound. It will work with web conferencing application as long it is selected as the output speaker and has proper connectivity to the computer.
