The 24" Baby Stand Extension from Kupo is a great way to add a little more height to your stand without buying an additional heavy and cumbersome stand. Made from chrome-plated steel, the extension has a combination 5/8" receiver / 1-1/8" pin at the mounting end. Use the receiver for industry-standard 5/8" studs, or remove the tightening knob and slip the base into a stand with a Junior receiver. The extension has a 5/8" top stud that's knurled to prevent rotation of your gear.

The is no hollow hole from the end to end in Kupo Baby Stand Extension (18"). On some baby pin 5/8 you won't be able to place to completely down in the pin.

What size/thread is the hole in the top (male) baby stud?
The hole at the very top is 1/4"-20, according to Kupo's video the B&H has linked to. The other answers appear to be confusing the knurled surface near the top with the threaded hole at the very top flat surface.
