Use the Alpine Astronomical Baader Double Polarizing Filter to eliminate extraneous light and improve contrast during lunar and planetary observations. It is made with standard 1.25" threads to fit on just about any eyepiece. The filter's double rotating filter cells allow you to precisely adjust the image brightness during lunar, planetary, and solar observations and improve image quality. For solar viewing the polarizing filter must be used in conjunction with primary solar filters such as Alpine's Herschel Prism or AstroSolar Safety Film. This is not a solar filter, and proper certified solar filters must be used to avoid permanent damage to eyes, up to and including blindness.
