Alpine Astronomical Baader Dovetail Bracket for Smaller NexStar and StarSeeker
Key Features
  • Adapts Mounts to Vixen Dovetail
  • Under 10-Pound Maximum Payload
  • For Celestron NexStar 60/80 Mounts
  • For Orion StarSeeker 70/80 Mounts
Use the Alpine Astronomical Baader Dovetail Bracket to adapt your 60 and 70mm Celestron NexStar or 70 and 80mm Orion StarSeeker telescope mount so it can accept any optical tube assembly (OTA) with a Vixen-style dovetail plate. The aluminum bracket replaces the original plastic one, and with the new bracket installed you will be able to use a wide assortment of OTAs and other gear, like spotting scopes and cameras, on the mount to take full advantage of its GoTo and tracking capabilities. Included with the bracket is a 4.7" (11.9cm) dovetail plate that has pre-drilled holes for it to be installed on most OTAs without a problem. Alpine Astronomical recommends payloads under 10 pounds, including the OTA and any accessories, to avoid damage to the gear system. The gear tensions may need to be adjusted for accurate and smooth tracking.
