Designed to address a persistent problem with standard rails, the Alpine Astronomical Baader Z(AP) Dovetail Bar offers more contact surface area when mounted onto your Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (SCT) optical tube assembly (OTA) for better stability and strength—especially when using heavy accessories and astrophotography rigs. This is an ideal solution when attaching larger OTAs such as Celestron 8", 9", and 11" SCTs onto Zeiss and Astro Physics mounts. The rail is made of lightweight and durable black anodized aluminum, is 18.5" (470mm) long, weighs 1.4 pounds, and comes with pre-drilled holes in popular mounting patterns.
