I am unfamiliar with ball heads, but I’ve had a desktop LED lamp hinge go floppy after a few uses, so I’m wondering: Are the ball heads strong enough that the lamps can be stored in the position shown (which is at an angle, so more strained than if it were upright) without giving way after a few weeks, becoming floppy and therefore useless?
It is possible over time, if you store them sideways they will not strain the ball head
