yes, but just take into account the weight of your dovetail and your camera etc. I exceed the 11lbs limit a bit by converting it to an equatorial and using counter weights. Also, go directly to the website to get the software and firmware upgrades. the app on the app stores is very rarely updated.

I can't install the accessory tray on the tripod... no matter how hard I push down, the central disc (with the three ears) will not rotate. Seems like I will break it if I push any harder. What am I doing wrong?

Does the AZ-GTI come with the bar and weight to be used in the eq mode, and does this mount have a guide port for autoguiding ?.
No the AZGTi does not come with the bar and counter weight. It can accommodate the Skywatcher bar and counter weight sold separately for the Star Adventurer mount and in EQ mode the threaded bar screws into threads inside the declination clutch ring. However you need a M12 x 1.75 metric (from Amazon) bushing as the threads in the GTi are larger than the rod. No.it does not have an auto guide port. Hope this helps. It's a great grab and go unit.

What's the difference between the Economy and the Standard versions?
John at B&H says the difference is the GPS. That may be true, but another difference is the economy version does not have clutches or the Freedom Find feature. I think the lack of Freedom Find also means no encoders. And without clutches you can not move by hand.

Does this particular item count with a threaded hole in the clutch ring? I heard that some instances of this mount (probably from earlier releases) got no thread, thus no way to attach a counterweight. Thank you.

Power consumption in Az-Gti is very low. any 12v source above 2A will do the trick. Average energy consumption is around 750mah in idle. slewing may double. you can even use 12v powerbanks. I have a 8.000mah and it works the night on a single charge.

Just to omfitm that the star adventurer counter weight kit is compatible wthis the GTi mount want to but it and use it in EQ mode but not sure about the compatibility

Any 12v P4 plug (5.5mm x 2.1mm) connected to 12v batteries ( advised range is 9v -13v ) such as acid batteries, li-Po powerbanks and power supplies.
